The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced that the country’s official reserves increased to $866 million by the end of October this year.
At the end of the previous month, the reserves stood at $859.5 million. Although reserves increased, short-term debt obligations also rose, reaching $789.6 million by the end of October. In September, this figure was $781.7 million. In this situation, usable reserves decreased to $193 million by the end of October.
In September, usable reserves stood at $194.4 million.
