Ruling PNC opens applications for 49 senior positions

The ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) last night opened applications for 49 positions on the party’s top council.

Sharing this information at a press conference held by the party, senior spokesperson Mohamed Firuzul Abdulla Khaleel said that important positions are to be filled through elections at the congress, which must be held under the party’s basic regulations. These include the party’s 6 vice presidents and 18 members of the Members’ Council, in addition to 7 youth members and 10 women members designated specifically for that council. Furthermore, applications have also been opened for the positions of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of both the Women’s Wing and the Youth Wing.

Firuzul said that every applicant must submit their ID card details, a photo, a police record, and a criminal record cleared by the sharia courts. He also said the criminal record must be one that has been cleared within the past one month.

Firuzul also revealed that registration to participate in the congress will be opened within a short period, and that the party will set up a special call center for this purpose.
