The President of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) held a meeting last night with members from the Medhuhenveyru constituency to discuss the party’s direction and hear concerns from grassroots supporters.
During the meeting, members from Medhuhenveyru shared their views and raised concerns about the difficulties currently faced by residents of Malé. Discussions reportedly covered a range of pressing issues, including the housing crisis, the rising cost of living, and the ongoing challenges of congestion and overcrowding in the capital.
Speaking after the meeting, the MDP President emphasized that the solution to the hardships faced by Malé residents lies with the MDP. He stated that meaningful solutions to Malé’s problems will only be achieved when an MDP government is once again formed and the party’s philosophy is put into practice across the country.
The gathering is part of a wider effort by the MDP President to engage directly with party members across various constituencies and listen to the voices of the people. As part of ongoing work to strengthen the party and reconnect with the grassroots, similar meetings are scheduled to be held with members from other constituencies in the coming days.
