Falah predicts 80 percent victory for PNC candidates

Ibrahim Falah, the parliamentary group leader of PNC, has stated that the government greatly needs the full cooperation and assistance of local councils to successfully complete important development projects that have been initiated in the islands.

Speaking at a ceremony held in Kulhudhuffushi to officially launch the campaign for PNC candidates competing in the city in the upcoming local council elections, Falah highlighted the importance of this election. He said that the vote cast by the people on April 4th will be a decision that determines the future of islands and cities. He raised the question of whether the people will decide on that day to move forward on the path of development for the future generations and progress of the nation, or to remain in the current state where development has stalled.

Reviewing Kulhudhuffushi’s political history, Falah noted that since the new constitution came into effect in 2008, the city council majority has been with MDP. However, he said that the time has come to change this thinking and elect people to the council who will support the government’s policies in order to achieve real development. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of having a council that will work in collaboration with the government to accelerate Kulhudhuffushi’s development.

Expressing his confidence in the election results, Falah said he has full certainty that PNC will win the election with a result exceeding 80 percent. He stated that the basis of this confidence is the people’s growing acceptance that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is a leader who fulfills promises and delivers results.
