Under the ongoing development project for Hulhumalé, the reclamation of the designated 63 hectares for Phase 3 has been fully completed. This milestone was announced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu while speaking at a campaign rally held by the PNC yesterday evening.

The President stated that with the completion of the work in Hulhumalé, the reclamation of Giravaru Falhu is scheduled to begin next. He noted that the two dredgers required for the work have already been stationed near the Giravaru Falhu area. He further assured that the process of handing over land to those who received plots from Giravaru Falhu and Gulhifalhu will proceed without delay.

In addition, highlighting that preparations are underway to reclaim Uthuru Thila Falhu, the President noted that work on Fushidhiggaru Falhu is also proceeding rapidly. He stated that the Fushidhiggaru Falhu project is expected to be completed by the end of April this year, and while that work continues, the government will carry out the administrative work to determine the recipients of land plots from that area.
