MDP President Abdulla Shahid has urged all party members to participate and vote in the party’s Local Council Election primary scheduled for tomorrow. In a post on X, Shahid requested members to conduct tomorrow’s voting affairs with peace and security.

Additionally, Shahid called on both winning and unsuccessful candidates to unite after the primary results and work diligently to secure victory for the party in the council election. He stated that the party’s main objective should be to win the election through unity.

Heavily criticizing the current government, Shahid characterized it as a rule built on lies, deceit, trickery, and corruption. Consequently, Shahid stated that defeating this government is imperative today, and the only way to achieve this is by voting for MDP candidates in the Local Council Election.
