Former Broadcasting Commission deputy chief charged with sexual assault.

The Prosecutor General’s Office has filed charges against Mohamed Fazeen, former Deputy President of the Broadcasting Commission, in a case where he is accused of sexually assaulting a commission employee. Two charges were filed against him at the Criminal Court last Sunday – charges of sexual assault and physical assault.

After this case came to light and while the People’s Majlis was working on his removal, he resigned from his position in March of last year.

However, at that time, Fazeen denied these allegations, and his legal team issued a statement saying that apart from the accusation itself, no evidence linking him to it had been presented.
