Efforts have begun to transfer famous film star Ahmad Nimaal, who is receiving treatment at IGMH after suffering a stroke, abroad for further medical care. According to the Maldives Society for Performing Arts, which announced this evening, preparations are underway to transfer Nimaal abroad following doctors’ advice.

Nimaal suffered a stroke on the night of the 31st of last month, and after receiving initial treatment at ADK, he is now receiving care in the Intensive Care Unit at IGMH, as confirmed by his family. The family has stated that Nimaal’s condition, who is among the Maldives’ finest actors in the film industry, is improving to some extent.
