Experienced film director Ahmad Nimal, who was being treated after suffering a stroke, has been transferred today from ADK Hospital to IGMH.

Nimal, who was taken to ADK after suffering a stroke last night, was being treated in ADK ICU until he was transferred to IGMH. However, his condition is still serious according to his family.

62-year-old Nimal is an important figure in the Maldivian film industry. He is a director as well as an actor, editor, writer and producer. He is also the director of popular films such as Zalzalaa, Vaaloabi Engeyama, Khalaas.

As an actor, he has appeared in many powerful films such as Veeraanaa, Niumaa, Mihashin Furaana Dhaandhen, Nengi Yaaru Vakivee. Most recently, he played a popular role in the film Loabivevijje released in 2023. His only son Muhammad Jumayyil is now a popular artist.
