Former President Mohamed Nasheed has tonight given special endorsement to former Medhuhenveiru constituency MP Ali Azim, who is contesting in the MDP primary for Male’ Mayor.

Speaking at Azim’s campaign rally, President Nasheed said he supports Azim because he is confident that Male’ will transform if Azim is elected as Mayor. He noted that Male’ now has all the opportunities to become the most beautiful city.

Former MDP Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail and former Vice President Mohamed Shifaz also participated in this rally. Nasheed sincerely asked all citizens to vote for Azim.

Azim said that people have been saying no one can change Male’, but he is confident that he can bring about that change.
