Immigration task force shuts three illegal salons in Malé

The Maldives Immigration’s taskforce shut down three establishments last night during an operation targeting salons and spas operating illegally in Malé.

Immigration stated that the operation, aimed at foreigners working illegally, inspected 10 salons and spas. During these inspections, three establishments found operating in violation of regulations were immediately ordered to close.

As part of the government’s ongoing efforts to address the issue of foreigners residing illegally in the Maldives, work is underway to stop foreigners conducting business illegally and deport them. Immigration and relevant authorities are also taking joint action against parties who neglect foreign workers.
