A case has been submitted to the Judicial Service Commission regarding Criminal Court Judge Ali Adam’s statement in a judgment that defense lawyers intimidate witnesses.

Information indicates the case was submitted by a defense lawyer. In the judgment of the case involving the murder of 19-year-old Ibrahim Aagil near MMA, the judge stated that the suspects’ group, family, and defense lawyers warn witnesses that they will be in danger.

Condemning these statements, the Bar Council said this is an allegation targeting defense lawyers without any specific evidence. The Bar Council has shared with the Criminal Court its concern that such statements could cause the public to lose confidence in the justice system.
