Bank of Maldives (BML) has successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the most people snorkelling simultaneously at a single location.

The record-breaking event was held at Niyama Kuredu Maldives, where a total of 314 participants took to the water at the same time to claim the world record. BML said the initiative was organised as part of an awareness campaign aimed at encouraging the public to experience the beauty of the country’s fragile reefs firsthand and to promote collective responsibility in protecting marine life.

Describing the achievement as a step towards inspiring shared action in safeguarding the reefs, BML thanked all the partners who contributed to making the event a success.
