Trade Maldives Private Limited has introduced products from “Anods Cocoa,” a well-known Sri Lankan chocolate brand, to the Maldives.
This brand, which has gained significant popularity in Sri Lanka’s food production sector, specializes in producing chocolate for bakeries, hotels, and home bakers who make cakes and sweets. Trade Maldives is the sole authorized distributor of the brand’s products in the Maldives.
Anods Cocoa is based in Pugoda, Sri Lanka, and operates as a company registered under that country’s Board of Investment. Holding internationally recognized certifications such as BRC, ISO 9001:2015, and FSSC 22000, the company represents a major investment of USD 8 million. Its factory has the capacity to produce 5,000 metric tons of chocolate per year.

Preparing sweets for Eid, weddings, and family gatherings is deeply rooted in Maldivian tradition. However, sourcing high-quality baking chocolate has often meant relying on expensive foreign brands. An added challenge has been finding chocolate suited to the Maldives’ tropical heat. Anods Cocoa, introduced by Trade Maldives, offers a solution to both problems. Priced in the mid-range, it is a quality product suitable for everything from small cupcakes to large wedding cakes.
The varieties available in the Maldivian market include dark, milk, and white chocolate chips, buttons, and slabs. Also available are 100g signature bars for gifting and direct consumption, assorted packs, and 250g “Choco Sensation” bars. The lineup also features a 3-in-1 coffee mix, a choco drink, and chocolate spread.

At present, the products are sold on an order-and-delivery basis. Customers can place orders through the “Anods Choco Maldives” Facebook page or via Viber on 7321125.
With the arrival of this new brand, home bakers and dessert makers across the Maldives now have another option for sourcing quality chocolate at reasonable prices.
