Aminath Moosa of Ithaamaage house in H.A. Dhiddhoo — currently the oldest person living on the island — has turned 100, and the milestone has been officially marked.

For the occasion, the President and Vice President of Dhiddhoo Council, along with council members, visited Aminath Moosa’s home to take part in marking this major milestone in her life. The President and Vice President of the Dhiddhoo Women’s Development Committee (WDC), along with committee members, also joined the visit.

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions inquired about her well-being, offered their prayers, and wished her a long life. They also noted that such visits will continue as a way of showing respect and honor to the island’s elderly.

The people and institutions of Dhiddhoo continue to recognize the value of their elders and provide them with the love and care they need. Many see Aminath Moosa as an example for all of Dhiddhoo today.
