Maldives’ renowned business company, Sheesha, has been appointed as the title sponsor for the 2nd edition of the Unity Futsal Challenge to be held this year.
Sheesha Private Limited, which also held the title sponsorship last year, signed the agreement to take the title for this year’s tournament during a signing ceremony held at Sheesha’s main office on Sunday.
Signing on behalf of Sheesha was the company’s CEO, Ibrahim Husham. Signing on behalf of the Unity Foundation was the foundation’s Chairperson, Dr. Ahmed Adeel. Senior officials from both Sheesha and the Unity Foundation participated in the ceremony.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in March in Addu City.
Sheesha is the authorized distributor in the Maldives for Japan’s famous Honda brand motorcycles and other equipment, bringing them closer to the Maldivian people. Furthermore, they are the authorized distributor for the famous American brand, Chemical Guys. Since 1987, Sheesha has been a proud partner of the Maldivian people, serving them unwaveringly and earning their trust.
“Such programs are important for community connection and benefit. We were very satisfied with the previous tournament as well. Unity Foundation’s arrangements are excellent. We hope that this tournament will be even more colorful and exciting than before.”
— Ibrahim Husham, CEO of Sheesha Company.
The opportunity for teams to participate in the tournament is now open.
The association informs that all information regarding the tournament—which offers a prize of MVR 50,000 for the champion team and MVR 20,000 for the runner-up team—can be found on footballmaldives.com.
