The Adalath Party has announced that its presidential election will be held on January 31 and has opened the opportunity for candidates to contest for the position. The party stated that interested parties must submit their nominations by 4:00 PM on January 8.
Only members registered in the party’s records as of December 28, 2025, will be eligible to vote in this election. If only one candidate comes forward, a show of hands vote will be conducted. However, if more than one candidate contests, a secret ballot will be held through electronic voting, the party said.
Candidates for the presidency must be at least 30 years old, have no proven record of religious offenses, treason, or immoral conduct, have served in a party council for at least two years, and possess at least a diploma-level education with three years of experience. Candidates must nominate a running mate as deputy president and submit required documents including ID card copy, CV, attested copies of educational certificates, proof of practical experience, and criminal record.
