Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim (Naifaree), who has provided valuable services in spreading Islamic knowledge in Maldivian society and worked to raise religious awareness among Maldivian citizens, has received 400,000 rufiyaa for his medical treatment. The “Edhiha” portal opened by Ehi Jamiyyaa has so far collected 407,826 rufiyaa.
Sheikh Ibrahim, who has lost vision in both eyes and is undergoing treatment for various health conditions, underwent surgery in 2023 to remove a brain tumor. Although 75 percent of the tumor was removed in that operation, the MRI scan needed to examine the remaining 25 percent has not yet been done. Additionally, kidney problems have also emerged.
According to Ehi Jamiyyaa, 20,000 dollars is needed for Sheikh’s first treatment trip. Ehi Jamiyyaa stated there is great hope that the treatment will restore Sheikh’s vision. In addition to teaching classes, Sheikh Ibrahim has written several books in Dhivehi and translated Arabic books. These include important books such as Hisnul Muslim, Kitaabu Siyaam, the Biography of the Prophet, Summary of Tawheed, and Kitaabu Salaat.
