Palestinian Ambassador to Maldives attends protest held outside Parliament

Palestinian Ambassador to the Maldives Waleed Abu Ali has joined a protest outside parliament demanding a ban on the Israeli passports to prevent extremist Israeli citizens from entering the country.

Those who marched to the parliament gate with a variety of slogans today called for a ban on the Israeli passports and a boycott of all brands that fund Israel in order to prevent Israelis from entering the country.

Ambassador Waleed Abu Ali attended the protest and expressed his gratitude for the Maldives’ supporting to Palestine cause.

Members of parliament met the crowd as part of a protest was held at the parliament gate on Monday, carrying flags of Palestine and posters with various slogans written in defence of its people. They include lawmakers from MDP, The Democrats and the PPM.

Following the protests, a meeting of the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee was abruptly convened after a complaint was filed with the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee to immediately stop accepting Israeli passports and stop Israeli tourists arriving Maldives.

More than a month after Israeli Jews attacked Gaza, more than 11,000 people have been killed in the attacks. Most of them were children.
