President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called up on all citizens to come together for the development of the country.

Dr. Muizzu, in a video message released on the occasion of Republic Day today, said that the people will get the sweetness of the republic only if the people and the government work together to lead the country. He thanked all those who worked tirelessly to bring the republic to this day.

The President-elect thanked all the presidents, past and present cabinet ministers, businessmen and leaders of political parties who have worked to bring the republic to this day. In his message, he urged everyone to come together to bring peace to the country and develop the country.

Our country needs stability. We all need to come together to develop the country. I would like to wish everyone a very happy day to move forward like this.

The country is celebrating its 55th Republic Day today. The president-elect will be sworn in on November 17. He will become the 7th President of the Second Republic.
