Islamic Centre with 1,500 prayer capacity to be developed in Addu

An agreement was signed on Friday for the development of an Islamic Centre in Addu City’s Hithadhoo district. The project was contracted to Fedo Pvt. Ltd. at a ceremony held in the Secretariat of the Addu City Council.

The Islamic Centre would feature a prayer area to accommodate 1,500 people, a multi-purpose hall with seating for 450 people, four classrooms, two seminar rooms, an administrative office, an Islamic library, and a pantry.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice President Faisal Naseem. Prior to the signing ceremony, the Vice President visited the land plot designated for the project.

At the meeting, the Vice President stressed the administration’s commitment to developing healthcare services across the country and assured the hospital executives that the administration would work towards addressing their concerns.
