A blaze ripped through GDh. Fiyoaree School

Fire broke out at GDh. Fiyoaree School on Sunday evening

Fire was initially broke out at the old hall of the building

Fire destroyed the old premises of the school

Neither any staff nor any of the school student was injured

Fire broke out occurred after hours of school

In less than one and half hours time, MNDF firemen arrived in the Island

It was identified the possible origin of the fire as an electricity board

Old building burnt to ground

The total number of students in the school is 180

Education Ministry assured the continuity of student studies

Fire broke out approximately at 5:00pm on Sunday evening

Building where the fire broke out comprises of 5 classrooms – of which 3 are in use

Exact cause of the fire had not been identified

School new building had not been impacted by the fire

The old building housed 5 class rooms
