Former President Yameen has decided to leave PPM and form a new party.

President Yameen’s Chief lawyer Speaking on Channel 13 last evening, Mohamed Jameel Ahmed said that the decision was not an easy one for President Yameen.

But I want to make sure that after being elected to power, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu did not respond president Yameen’s phone calls. The leadership has distanced itself from President Yameen. No discussion with President Yameen. They feel that to run the the party today there is no need for any consultation with President Yameen,

Dr. Jameel said.

Dr. Jameel further said that the party leadership has been unfaithful to President Yameen. “Dr. Muizzu and the party leadership have also been very unfaithful to President Yameen,” dr. Jameel said while speaking on Channel 13.

Jameel also said many people with President Yameen’s ideology want a party to which President Yameen belongs, to win the upcoming parliamentary elections.

(President Yameen) stayed away from the party because a lot of things had happened in the last few days. But he is a political far-sighted person. Therefore, he will make his political debut by forming his own party with his ideology.

Explaining the reasons for President Yameen’s decision to leave PPM, Jameel said.

Dr. Jameel further said Now it is understood that many of the party’s top leadership were following President Yameen for a different purpose altogether. He said that they did not even need president Yameen’s consultation as their ambitions were fulfilled.

Dr. Muizzu also said that he would do so to ensure justice for President Yameen. However, President Yameen is doing this work today on his own. We don’t see the leadership today.

Jameel said, stating that the party leadership is not seen today working to ensure justice for President Yameen,.

President Yameen left PPM after he appointed a steering committee to run the party, which led to the party’s decision to remove some of those involved in the work from the party.
