President-elect, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu unveiled a Road Map for the first 100 days of his presidency last night. President-elect Dr. Muizzu launched the Road Map titled ‘Hafta 14’ (Week 14) at a special ceremony held at Dharubaaruge.
The Road Map includes fulfilling 161 promises. The work on the Road Map was divided into eight areas.
These areas include:
- Autonomy and sovereignty
- Islam and nationalism
- Housing and infrastructure development
- Economy and environment
- Women, youth, craftsmen and sports Health
- A compassionate society
- Education and training
- Government policy and legal reforms
Muizzu, who will be sworn in as President on Friday, said he would fulfill whatever he promised during the election campaign, word by word.
Muizzu said last night’s announcement was made for the least of the first 14 weeks of his presidency, but he would be full filling more.
It’s not the only thing that can be done. If we wish, our Ministries and Companies will achieve much more than that.
– Muizzu said.
The evening saw the release of a booklet containing all the speeches that Dr. Muizzu made during the campaign and all those in the press conferences.
Muizzu said the election promises were brought out in a form of a book for the sake of working in a transparent manner. He said it would be easier for people to see how much promises were being fulfilled.
