Urbanco has put on hold the sale of Vinares flats, citing problems with the portal used to submit applications. Urbanco decided to hold the application process after several people complained that they could not access the online portal after the sale of the flats began.
Urbanco said in a statement late last night that the corporation had received several complaints regarding technical glitches caused by the online portal at the time of filing of applications. Therefore, the Corporation has decided to put on hold the process of submission of applications through an online portal for the purchase of apartments, as the corporation is aware of the need to look into the complaints received.
As the corporation found that there were some issues that needed to be investigated further in the wake of the complaints received, it was decided to put on hold the process of submission of applications through the online portal to purchase the apartment.
Urbanco’s statement said.
Urbanco did not disclose what the problem was with the online portal or how many applicants had applied through the online portal. The company also did not specify the date when the flats would be re-opened for sale.
According to media reports, the Vinares flats in Hulhumale’ Phase II have run out of sale after they were opened yesterday morning for those interested in buying unsold flats. Housing Development Corporation (HDC) (now Urbanc0) said it has opened up 123 unsold flats for sale. However, an hour after the application process was opened at 10 am yesterday, the message that appeared on the online portal was that all the flats had been sold out.
After Urbanco’s statement, it is now believed that all felts were shown to have sold due to a technical problem with the online portal. Urbanco, however, did not disclose what the problem was with the online portal or how many applicants had applied through the online portal.
