Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Saturday met with Sri Lankan President Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe

During the meeting, Minister Shahid asserted Maldives’ solidarity with the Sri Lankan people and discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.

According to a tweet by the foreign minister following the meeting, Minister Shahid reflected on the traditionally close ties between both the countries and reiterated that bilateral relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka as well as people to people contact has continued to grow.
