Male’ City Council has raised MVR 313,397.90, in less than 24 hours since it launched the fund raising event, aimed at renovating mosques in the Male’ City.
The ‘Chaalu Miskiy’ fundraising event was launched on 6th January 2023, and a donation box was made available at the Artificial Beach. The City Council is also accepting donations to its BML bank account 7730000467623 and via an online portal.
Male” City Council said, funds received would be used for renovations of mosques in Male’ area ahed of the upcoming holly month of Ramadan.
City Council also provided information related to renovation of 26 mosques, such as cost estimates for materials, equipments and resources. Informations were made available at a stall set in the Artificial beach area.
City council states that, in the absence of the fund rising event, still people are allowed to continue donating money and equipments by visiting the City Council.
