For Q3 of 2022, Ooredoo Maldives has reported a net profit of MVR 127.2 million.
The figure represents over a 30 percent drop from the previous year’s net profit, which stood at MVR 588.6 million.
According to the telecom and internet service provider, it earned a quarterly revenue of MVR 471.1 million by the end of the third quarter. This is a 1.21 percent increment from the MVR 465.5 million quarterly income by the end of Q2-2022.
The company earned MVR 363.2 million as mobile revenue, with another MVR 107.8 million from fixed, broadband and enterprise services. Another MVR 140,000 came through other income sources.
The company’s year-to-date revenue (from January until September end) is at MVR 1.42 billion. Meanwhile, Ooredoo’s net profit in annual terms reached MVR 416.4 million.
Moreover, the company reported spending MVR 243.1 million as operational costs, with another MVR 62.6 million spent on depreciation and amortization for third quarter.
Operating profit for the review quarter decreased by 9.07 percent from MVR 181.9 million in Q2-2022 to MVR 165.5 million. Ooredoo Maldives reported a profit before tax of MVR 153.6 million for the review quarter, which was a 9.96 percent decline from MVR 170.6 million during the preceding quarter.
